Welcome to Daily Card

One card. One quiet moment.

Each day, shuffle, cut and draw a single card from the 1909 Rider-Waite-Smith deck. Sit with it for a moment, say what it means to you, then read what it has traditionally meant.

Reflection, not fortune-telling

Daily Card isn't here to predict your future. The seventy-eight cards are a century-old catalogue of human experience: beginnings and endings, courage and doubt, grief, patience, joy. Drawing one gives your thoughts somewhere to land. What does it stir up? Where does it show up in your day? What might it be asking of you?

A practice for meditation

Let the shuffle be a few slow breaths. Write your own reading before you look up the traditional one; there's no wrong answer. Over weeks, your history becomes a quiet journal, and you may start to notice patterns: themes that keep returning, questions you keep circling. Those are worth sitting with.

Paper or pixels

Nothing replaces a real deck in your hands. Daily Card is for the days you don't have one with you, or for when you'd like your practice, and your journal, in your pocket. Your readings stay on your device.

    Reading a card upside down

When a card turns up upside down it's called a reversal. Many readers treat this as meaningful: rather than the card's opposite, a reversal is read as its energy being blocked, turned inward, delayed, or only partly present.

Here, only the 22 Major Arcana can appear reversed. They speak to life's larger themes and turning points, so a reversal marks something worth pausing on: a lesson you may be resisting, or a change still taking shape. The Minor Arcana are always read upright.

Reversals add nuance, and make room for readings about what's stuck or hidden, not only what's flowing. If you'd rather keep readings simple, leave them off. You can change this any time at the foot of the home page.

    What's kept on this device

    • Your pulls: which card, when, and any interpretation or notes you write.
    • Your settings: theme (Auto, Day or Night), whether reversals are used, and whether your visits are counted.
    • An offline copy of the app and its card images, so it works without a connection.

These live in your browser's own storage on this device. They aren't shared with other browsers or devices, which is why backups are offered.

    Cookies

Daily Card doesn't use cookies of any kind.

    What reaches our server

None of your readings, interpretations or notes: they never leave this device. There are no accounts and no advertising. The server delivers the app's files, and nothing about your readings is ever sent back.

The web server keeps standard access logs of those requests (IP address, time and the request made) for about three days, for security. They never contain your readings.

    Outside services

None. Everything the app uses, including its typefaces and card images, comes from this site, so your browser doesn't contact anyone else.

    Removing your data

Use Clear history under Your History, or clear this site's data in your browser's settings. Backup files you save are ordinary files; delete them like any other.
